Methods
Methods aid the developer in the process of developing a product. This is done by providing scheduled and rule-based instructions for a systematic approach. These methods can be applied independently of the type of product to all stages of the product development process.
The support through methods ranges from elemental to strategic levels. The research assignment of the Institute is the development and the situational adaptation of methods and tools for product development. The integration of other disciplines and especially the cooperation with partners in industry ensure that the results are practical and application-oriented.
Our main focus is the methodical support for the construction and development of products as well as in the analysis and optimisation of the development process.
