Project description
Supporting management of cycles in innovation process with computer-aided tools requires new methods that provide for highly dynamic knowledge creation and interdependent knowledge evolution and integration. Targeting design cycles, this subproject develops formal representations to capture engineering product and process knowledge that are integrated within a new framework for networking, re-using and evolving distributed knowledge. Applications investigated include computationally defining design languages to analyze and validate the dynamic influences of knowledge in production and market cycles on the evolution of the product platform.
